The Lawful Assembly podcast teams up two divergent activists, a Secular Humanist Political Activist with an immigration lawyer and an ordained clergy to dissect politics, important legal issues facing the United States, and the role of religion in our political and legal landscapes. Its challenging conversation combines a bit of humor with lamentations over injustices, combined with equal measures of pragmatic cynicism and faith-filled hope.

About the Hosts

Rev. Craig Mousin, J.D.

Mousin’s first recollections of public protest found him as a grade school student and two siblings dressed as the three patriots replicated in Archibald Willard’s “The Spirit of 76” during his hometown’s Fourth of July parade. He later observed his parents organize and advocate regarding school funding issues, challenging municipal public works decisions, and seeking more equitable health care options. Whether organizing a high school student protest or presenting his first church sermon during a high school youth service advocating for social justice, he has blended a respect for legal advocacy with public activism against sovereign abuse of civil and human rights and a more just distribution of the earth’s bounty.

Cecil Cicirello

Cecil is a podcaster. He has an undergraduate degree in philosophy, and a masters degree in new media studies. He has, with the great help of other podcasters and the listening community, raised over 1.5 million dollars for charitable efforts that range from helping the underprivileged to assisting women with access to abortion in anti-choice states. His other shows are the Cognitive Dissonance Podcast & the Citation Needed Podcast.
